Repository & Self-Archiving Policy

The Physical Therapy Journal of Indonesia (PTJI) supports and encourages authors to share, deposit, and self-archive their work in institutional, subject-based, and public repositories. PTJI operates under a Green Open Access self-archiving policy with no embargo period, as registered in SHERPA/RoMEO.

SHERPA/RoMEO Status

PTJI is registered in SHERPA/RoMEO, the international database of journal self-archiving policies maintained by Jisc. Our policy is classified as Green — the most permissive category — allowing authors to self-archive at all stages without any embargo period.

Permitted Manuscript Versions

Authors may deposit any of the three manuscript versions listed below. In all cases, the deposited record should include the DOI link to the final published article on the PTJI website.

1

Preprint (Submitted Manuscript)

✓ PERMITTED · No Embargo

The original manuscript as submitted to PTJI, before peer review and editorial changes. Authors may post this version to preprint servers at any time — before, during, or after peer review.

Accepted Author Manuscript (AAM)

✓ PERMITTED · No Embargo

The peer-reviewed, author-revised manuscript accepted for publication — including all reviewer-requested changes — but before copyediting, typesetting, and journal formatting. Deposit is permitted immediately upon acceptance.

Published Version of Record (VoR)

★ RECOMMENDED · No Embargo

The final formatted PDF as published on the PTJI website, including the DOI, page numbers, and journal branding. This is the recommended version for self-archiving, as it ensures citation tracking is unified across Scopus, Google Scholar, and Dimensions.

Conditions of Deposit

When self-archiving any version of a PTJI article, authors should observe the following conditions to ensure proper attribution and citation tracking:

Include the DOI Link

All deposited versions must clearly display the Crossref DOI of the published article (e.g., https://doi.org/10.xxxxx/ptji.xxxx) so citations are tracked to the official publication.

CC BY 4.0 License Statement

Deposited files should carry the CC BY 4.0 license statement. Under this license, any user may share or adapt the work for any purpose, provided appropriate credit is given to the original authors and PTJI.

Acknowledge the Source Journal

The deposited record should acknowledge PTJI as the original publisher. For the VoR, include full citation information: journal name, volume, issue, page numbers, year, and DOI.

Link Preprints to the Final Article

Authors who posted a preprint before submission should update the preprint record with the DOI of the published article upon acceptance, so readers can access the peer-reviewed, final version.
